Guns N' Roses Axl Rose wrong for refusing Hall of Fame, says Dee Snider

By
Twisted Sister's Dee Snider has criticised Axl Rose for declining to attend Guns N' Roses' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Rose released an open letter to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this week to explain why he turned down an invitation to attend Saturday's ceremony.

"I respectfully decline my induction as a member of Guns N' Roses to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," Rose wrote. "I strongly request that I not be inducted in absentia and please know that no-one is authorized, nor may anyone be permitted to accept any induction for me or speak on my behalf."

Twisted Sister frontman Snider slammed Roses's decision while interviewing Slash at the Revolver Golden Gods gala in LA, reports WENN.

"Someone just told me that it's official Axl is not gonna sing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I said it's crap," Snider declared. "I said, if he can't put this stuff aside for an event like that, for a recognition like that, to do the cool thing, and just in respect of what you guys have done, I think it's totally screwed up."

Slash refused to comment on Rose's refusal to attend the Hall of Fame induction, but added: "I'll be there."

The guitarist had previously cautioned fans that a reunion of Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction lineup is unlikely because of his personality clashes with Rose.

"He hates my guts," Slash said of Rose. "It's over a lot of different stuff; I don't even know."

Guns N' Roses will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Green Day in Cleveland this weekend alongside The Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Laura Nyro.
