One Direction Niall Horan: 'Simon Cowell doesn't pay us enough'

One Direction's Niall Horan has reportedly said that the band aren't paid enough by Simon Cowell.

The singer, whose comments were reported in The Sun, joked that the reason for Cowell's success is his stinginess with money.

Horan is quoted as saying: "Simon Cowell is tight. That's why he's so successful - he's able to keep his money to himself. We're paid in jelly beans."

The band have reportedly just been given a bonus of £2 million each.

Harry Styles also revealed that the five members of One Direction have been working on more of their own songwriting, and don't want their music to sound manufactured or false.

Styles explained: "We're always writing on the road and in hotels and airports. We don't ever want our music to sound like a 40-year-old man in an office has written it and given it to us to perform."

Louis Tomlinson recently took to Twitter to voice his anger about the online abuse his girlfriend Eleanor Calder has received from jealous fans.
