The Bee Gees legend has apparently already revealed his desire to continue as a singer-songwriter after waking from a 12-day coma over the weekend.
"His vitals are perfect. He just needs to build his strength," RJ told The Sun. "Work is what he wants to get back to doing."
Recalling the moment the 62-year-old awoke, he added: "We said, 'We love you'. He said, 'Hi RJ', and, 'Hi sweetheart' to my mother."
Robin Gibb has been battling liver and colon cancer since last year.
Gibb was thought to have had less than a 10% chance of survival during his coma.
