Microfilm have released a remix of Sarah Nixey's 'Silk Threads' as a free download.
The Silk Threads EP is the third cut from Nixey's second solo album Brave Tin Soldiers.
The digital single released this week features the original version of the song, Microfilm's Silky Smooth Remix, another mix from Kids Love and new B-side 'Devil's Playground'.
Nixey released her debut solo album Sing, Memory in 2007. It followed three studio albums with Luke Haines and John Moore as Black Box Recorder.
After parting ways following 2003's Passionoia, Black Box Recorder briefly reunited in 2008 for a series of live shows.
The band released farewell single 'Keep It In The Family'/'Do You Believe In God' in May 2010 and Haines later confirmed that the group would never reform again.
