The Killers saxophonist Tommy Marth has died at the age of 33.

The musician's body was found at his Las Vegas home on Monday.

He played on the albums Sam's Town and Day & Age and toured with the group from 2008 to 2009.

On Tuesday, a message on The Killers' Twitter feed read: "Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth.

"Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."

Musician Ryan Pardey told Las Vegas Weekly: "I'm just trying to make sense of things right now and help some people who aren't doing very well.

"He was one of the most talented people in our community and one of my closest friends since we were 18."
