The Daily Mail reports that the band, which also includes Kevin Simm and Tony Lundon, are planning to release a new album this year and will embark on a 2013 UK-wide tour.

Liberty X formed in 2001 after being rejected from the first season of Popstars, with the winning group going on to become Hear'Say.

The band released three albums between 2001 and 2005, notching up ten Top 20 singles including 'Thinking It Over', 'Got To Have Your Love', 'Being Nobody' and number one hit 'Just A Little'.

They briefly reformed in 2008 for a one-off greatest hits gig in Belfast.
