The group will play a trio of gigs in London this month, which will serve as a warm-up ahead of their festival appearances at Bestival, Heineken's Open'er and Primavera this summer.
The band's latest material will be unveiled first at north London's Electrowerkz on May 14, before a further two dates at Chats Palace and Battersea Arts Centre.
Indie-electro duo 2:54, whose new single 'Creeping' is out June 18, have been confirmed as the support act for the Chats Palace show.
The xx have been working on the follow-up to their Mercury Prize-winning debut over the last 12 months. They recently featured on Rihanna's 'Drunk on Love' from her Talk That Talk LP, while band member Jamie Smith produced Drake's 'Take Care'.
