Girls Aloud recording new material, say Xenomania

By
Girls Aloud are recording new material, it has been revealed.

The girl group's production and songwriting team Xenomania divulged on Twitter earlier tonight (May 12) that Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding have been at studio sessions during the week, and that they would be recording with Nadine Coyle again soon.

They tweeted: "Prepping to go in the studio with @NadineCoyleNOW for new GA sessions... New GA sessions with @NicolaRoberts @KimberleyJWalsh @SarahNicHarding in the studio over the last week."

Nadine Coyle had revealed yesterday (May 11) on Twitter that she was entering the studio with Xenomania, although she did not say whether the material recorded would be for Girls Aloud or a new solo effort.

The news comes after it was rumoured that Girls Aloud will be releasing this year's official Children in Need song as their comeback single. However, it is unknown whether the recording sessions in question were for this track.

It is also currently uncertain whether Cheryl Cole had previously participated in the studio sessions, or whether she will do so in the future.

Girls Aloud reportedly held a secret reunion meeting last month to organise a comeback tour, which is suggested to be taking place at the beginning of 2013 to coincide with the group's tenth anniversary.
