"I'm a little nervous, in the sense that when I released the first album I had nothing to lose," she told BBC Breakfast.
"Now I've developed a life for myself that I quite like and now if I lose that then I might be restricted to doing something mundane or dull, God forbid."
Talking about lead single 'Picking Up the Pieces', she said: "It's based on a situation that most adults in relationships have been in."
Faith also revealed how superstar Prince took her under his wing during a recent festival.
She added: "He offered me some lemon drizzle cake, that was the highlight! I was supporting his festival, and it became a hangout with Prince.
"He was really nice and motivational and gave me advice and made me feel worthy."
'Picking Up The Pieces' will be released in the UK on May 20.
