One Direction's Capital FM three-month ban lifted

One Direction's ban on Capital FM has been lifted.

The boyband faced a three-month suspension after they thanked Radio 1 for their 'Best British Single' award at February's Brits, when it was Capital FM's listeners who voted for them.

According to fans, the station played a One Direction track around 7.45pm last night (May 22), nearly three months exactly since Harry Styles made the award show gaffe.

Global executive president and founder Ashley Tabor was allegedly upset over the mishap and immediately ordered all One Direction songs to be removed from the playlists back in February.

Previously asked about the band's omission from Global Radio stations, a spokesperson said: "We never comment on playlist decisions."

One Direction started their first North American headline tour last night (May 22) in Connecticut.
