One Direction: 'The Wanted can be our support act on tour'

By
One Direction have said that there could be a support slot available on their arena tour for The Wanted.

Band member Louis Tomlinson joked that he is happy to get along with their boyband rivals and has offered them a place on their forthcoming US tour.

"We are hoping that they'll still get on with us, because, you know, there is potentially a spot on our arena tour for them to support us," Tomlinson told The Mirror.

"I was going to say something rude then. Or something sexual. But that's something The Wanted would say."

The two groups have fired competitive digs at each other since they both rose to prominence in the US earlier this year.

The Wanted's Nathan Sykes recently said his group would be willing to collaborate with One Direction on a charity song.

Responding to the offer, 1D's Niall Horan told Digital Spy: "It would be just like Blazin' Squad! See you at the crossroads, crossroads, crossroads! That was a tune. It would be funny to see that, but we'll see what happens."

One Direction will release their Up All Night: The Live Tour DVD on May 28.
