The four-piece indie rock band, whose debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not became the fastest selling in UK chart history, decided to write a book after hearing of an unofficial biography already released.
According to The Sun the band were upset that the book was written about them without consultation. A source reportedly remarked "They didn't even know the guy who wrote it and were annoyed he was cashing in on their story."
The autobiography should be in bookshops by Christmas.
