By
Peter Andre has announced that he plans to release a single in tribute to Robin Gibb.

The Bee Gees singer passed away after a cancer battle last month, and Andre revealed that Gibb wrote him a song before he died.

Andre explained that he will finish recording the track when he returns to the UK, and will donate all proceeds to Gibb's charity.

''I was absolutely devastated to hear about Robin Gibb passing away last week. I was lucky enough to call him a friend and I feel privileged to have known him," he told Bang Showbiz.

''He was such a total legend musically and also a kind man, and he's going to be missed so much.

"He very kindly wrote a song for me recently and I'm determined to finish working on it when I get back to the UK. I'm going to release it and make sure all the proceeds go to his favourite charity.''

Andre added on his official website that he has continued to make sure his West Sussex coffee shop was up to standard after it received a poor hygiene record after an inspection in April.

He said: ''I'm very pleased to report the health inspectors who gave my coffee shop one star out of five when they first visited have since come back and given us five stars.

''We rectified everything that was wrong immediately and I hope all the people who reported on us getting a bad review will now report on us getting a good one! It's such brilliant news, I'm delighted.''
