Kaiser Chiefs have insisted that they are happy to be labeled a "singles band".

Drummer Nick Hodgson said that they are proud of their new singles collection Souvenir and still appreciate fans who aren't familiar with their album tracks.

Watch what Hodgson and Peanuts had to say below:

Hodgson said: "People have always said we're a singles band. I've always gone, 'No, we're not', but when you look at the singles collection, you think, 'They bloody are'.

"It's a great collection. I think for most people, our singles together on a CD will really work."

He continued: "The fans get into the B-sides and album tracks, but I'm happy for people just to get into the singles as well."

The drummer also revealed that their signature hit 'I Predict A Riot' originally sounded like Franz Ferdinand's 'Do You Want To', adding: "I have 'I Predict A Riot' with a different chorus... which sounds alarmingly like that Franz Ferdinand song 'I'm So lucky'".

Kaiser Chiefs' album Souvenir is out now.
