The tour DVD has sold 76,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, which is the best sales week so far this year for a video.

Its debut is currently only beaten by Adele's Live at the Royal Albert Hall DVD, which shifted 96,000 copies in December.

Meanwhile, 'What Makes You Beautiful' - featuring remixes by Dave Aude and Lenny Bhas - climbed to the top of the Billboard Dance/Club Play Chart.

The single also moves up a place to six in the main Billboard Hot 100 in its 16th week. It reached a peak position of number four in April.

One Direction's debut album Up All Night - which topped the chart in March - has spent its 12th week inside the Top 10, climbing back up to number four.

The LP experienced a 12% sales gain of 41,000 copies in the past week. It has currently sold 739,000 copies, making it the fourth biggest-selling album this year in the US.

One Direction are reportedly planning to make a 3D movie for a November 2013 release.
