Usher, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj to perform at BET Awards

Usher has been added to the list of BET Awards performers.

The 'Scream' singer will be joined on stage at the Shrine Auditorium by Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj for the July 1 ceremony.

Big Sean and 2 Chainz will also take to the stage, as will award presenters Kevin Hart and Cedric the Entertainer.

Kanye West leads this year's BET Awards nominees, with nods in seven categories for his solo work and collaborations with Jay-Z.

Beyoncé, Drake, and BET Awards performer Big Sean have received multiple nominations as well.

Samuel L Jackson hosts the 2012 BET Awards, airing on Sunday, July 1 at 8/7c from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
