Elton John, Pnau debut new single 'Sad' - listen

Pnau have unveiled their new single 'Sad'.

The track - out July 16 - serves as the second release from their 'Elton vs. Pnau' project, which sees them reworking a number of Sir Elton John's classic hits from the 1970s into entirely new songs.

'Sad' includes elements of 'Nice and Slow', 'Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word', 'Friends', 'Curtains' and 'Crazy Water'.

The band's full-length album also includes previous song 'Good Morning To The Night', as well as 45 other samples across the eight tracks.

Pnau - who gained recognition under their side project Empire of the Sun - recently debuted a remix of 'Good Morning To The Night' exclusively on Digital Spy.
