Katy Perry donned a nude catsuit and emerged from a cocoon into a butterfly as she performed on stage at the MuchMusic Video Awards 2012 in Toronto last night (June 17).

The 27-year-old 'Part of Me' singer, who won two awards at the ceremony, entered on stage covered in rags before revealing her diamante all-in-one suit and large butterfly wings to sing new single 'Wide Awake'.

Other stars performing at the event included Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen and Flo Rida, with Selena Gomez handing out awards to Bieber, Jepsen, Perry and LMFAO.
