The duo announced the new project by launching website lvlf.info, which gives fans access to three tracks.
The new cuts - 'Brave Face', 'She Makes It Look So Easy' and 'Love Rush' - demonstrate a more synth-driven sound from Newell than his rockier Viva Brother songs.
Viva Brother confirmed their split on Twitter back in April, describing the experience as "an unbelievable journey".
Lovelife have yet to confirm an official release for their new material.
