Ed Sheeran: 'I'm going into the studio with One Direction'

Ed Sheeran will join One Direction in the studio this summer after agreeing to let them record two of his unreleased songs.

The 21-year-old 'Small Bump' singer told the Daily Star that he is going to help the band record two songs that he wrote when he was a teenager.



"I wrote a couple of songs when I was 17 that One Direction want for their next album," he explained.

"I'm going into the studio in August to produce the tracks for them.

"I won't feature on the tracks though," he added. "There's definitely a divide in genre."



Sheeran recently told Digital Spy that his new album is "more mature" than his debut +, which broke records when it entered the Billboard charts at number five last week.
