Singer Siobhan Donaghy made the claim while answering a fan query on Twitter about an official announcement and premiere of their reunion album.
"When will we get to hear some new stuff?" a fan asked Donaghy on Saturday (June 23).
The star replied: "the soonest it'll be is in 2 weeks. The latest is 10 weeks. That's all I know for now ;-)"
It was reported earlier this year that the trio - consisting of Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan - secured a £1 million record deal with Polydor for their comeback.
Buchanan was recently pictured in the recording studio with Katy B, fuelling rumours the original Sugababes were working with the dubstep star.
Emeli Sande is also among a list of confirmed collaborators for the new album.
