Genesis confirm reunion with tour dates

Genesis have confirmed they are re-forming and announced their first tour in 15 years.

Members Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks are to play a series of stadium dates across Europe.

They will perform in 12 cities next summer while EMI Records is to begin re-releasing 14 of their studio albums.

Promoter John Giddings announced the news. "It is a privilege to work with one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and to see their musical talent together again will be incredible," he commented. "The live shows are as famous as their music."

Despite suggestions the tour is aimed at making money, members have insisted they are doing if for the love of the music. It will begin in Helsinki on June 11 and end in Rome on July 14, taking in a show at Twickenham.

The band's last tour, We Can't Dance, was 15 years ago, and Collins left the band to go solo 10 years ago.

More details and tickets will be available at www.genesis-music.com.
