The 'Walk This Way' group were to perform at the Jiffy Lube Live venue in Bristow, VA as part of their 'Global Warming Tour', but Tyler has been put on vocal rest by his personal physicians.
A statement on Aerosmith's Facebook page reads: "Steven Tyler is under doctor's orders to refrain from performing to provide vocal rest. The concert will now take place on August 12th.
"Aerosmith regrets any inconvenience and looks forward to returning to Jiffy Lube Live. Tickets purchased for the July 3rd show will be honoured on the August 12th date."
Last week, Aerosmith delayed the release of their new album Music from Another Dimension to November to avoid competition with other artists.
Tyler previously commented that he is "so happy" with Aerosmith's first record in eight years.
