The track received its first radio play earlier today (July 10) and will be released later this summer.
Previously explaining the meaning behind their new album's title, frontman Brandon Flowers said: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better."
The Killers unveiled the official artwork for 'Runaways' last month, which includes a stage light in the shape of a thunderbolt.
The group have a number of live shows booked for this summer including V Festival in the UK and Firefly Music Festival in the US.
