The 'Lights' singer took to Twitter to unveil the new song, which is titled 'Hanging On' and features Tinie Tempah.
"Here's the beginning of my new journey. Enjoy and share responsibly," she posted.
Shortly after the tweet, the website became unreachable as it was overwhelmed with fans clamouring to hear the new track.
"Think you guys crashed the page. bare (sic) with us," Goulding wrote.

'Hanging On' is a cover of an Active Child song of the same name.
In late June, Goulding entered the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The singer is working with Calvin Harris on a new track.
