Florence + the Machine, Elton John, Pnau lead midweek chart

Florence + the Machine is on course to claim a second week at number one.

The singer's latest single 'Spectrum' continues to top the midweek chart, after it became Florence + the Machine's first ever UK number one single on Sunday.

However, Maroon 5's 'Payphone' is only 700 copies behind at number two, while Stooshe's 'Black Heart' reaches a new peak at three.

will.i.am is at four with 'This Is Love' and Chris Brown is at five with 'Don't Wake Me Up'.

X Factor 2011 contestant Misha B lands at number nine with her debut single 'Home Run', while B.o.B. and Taylor Swift's 'Both Of Us' debuts at 26.

Elsewhere, Kylie Minogue's 'Timebomb' vaults up 118 places to a new peak of 29 after a limited run of physical singles were released.

Over on the album chart, Pnau's re-imagining of Elton John's back catalogue is on course to claim the Aussie duo their first ever UK number one album.

The collection - titled Good Morning To The Night - faces competition from a repackaged version of Paul Simon's Graceland, which is at two.

Maroon 5 are at three with Overexposed, Nas enters at four with Life Is Good and Ed Sheeran is at five with +.

The original cast recording of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is at 22, while Hans Zimmer's Batman soundtrack for The Dark Knight Rises is at 34.
