Shows will begin on October 5 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and end in New York City on November 11.

These are Dylan's first headlining arena shows in the US since 2006, when he went on tour to promote the release of his album Modern Times.

Last year, the 71-year-old singer toured Europe with Knopfler, who is due to release his new album Privateering in September.

Dylan was recently involved a dispute over his legendary Newport Folk Festival electric guitar.

His latest self-produced studio album Tempest will be released on September 10 in the UK and on September 11 in the US.
