Wily has said that he doesn't crave mainstream success.

The rapper confessed that he used to be intent on releasing big hits, but discovered his appetite to top the charts was becoming a weakness.

Asked if he is affected by chart positions, Wiley told Digital Spy: "I don't crave it, but I just have to do it because I have the ability to.

"I used to crave and chase it and that's where I went wrong. You're meant to relax and just do it."

He added: "The aim is to headline The O2 - and I've worked with enough stars to fill out the arena for an event - but I'd like to get in there myself."

However, the star insisted that he doesn't feel pressure when it comes to selling records, saying: "No, not anymore. I've been doing this for too long."

Wiley will release his new single 'Heatwave' in the UK on July 29.
