Fans seek refund for Jackson comeback "flop"

Fans are reportedly seeking refunds after being disappointed by Michael Jackson's comeback performance.

The pop star appeared in public for the first time in nine years at the World Music Awards - with tickets selling for up to £100 at face value.

Some fans said the performance, labeled a "flop" by critics who report the star being booed, was a let down. Hit Thriller was only performed by R&B singer Chris Brown, while Jackson himself sang just a few lines of We Are The World, flanked by groups of children.

Many in the audience told the BBC they were seeking refunds. "I'm furious," said Katherine Kidd. "I feel like I've been ripped off." Londoner Zareen Iqbal, 29, added: "It was a huge anti-climax. I just walked off."

Abdo Binmadhi complained: "People were expecting something significant but he didn't perform at all. I should have just stayed at home and watched it on TV. We should definitely get a refund."

Organisers told the BBC they had not received any complaints regarding the Jackson performance. There was also some discussion over whether the sound was cut during his act.
