The producer will release three sample tracks from Total Breakdown: Hidden Transmissions From The MPC Era, 1992-1996 as a 'BitTorrent bundle' that also includes a wealth of bonus material.
Users who download the package through the torrent service will receive free software from one of BitTorrent's advertising partners with the artist receiving a commission, Music Week reports.
The move is part of the website's ongoing strategy to "monetise" the service and develop it into a means of generating income for artists, according to BitTorrent CEO Eric Klinker.
Counting Crows and Chester French have launched similar promotions through the file-sharing service in the past.
The Total Breakdown bundle will be released through BitTorrent today (July 25).
