Nicki Minaj has been accused of failing to show up for a paid appearance at a concert after-show party.

A Texas nightclub owner has said the rapper bailed on a $30,000 (£18,700) deal to appear at his club after her performance at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas.

Minaj warned fans via her Twitter page that she would not be attending the party, insisting: "No after party tonite barbz. S/O [shout out] to the promoters who sold tkts under false pretenses tho (sic)".

The33tv quotes the club's spokesperson Matt Cislo as saying: "From my understanding, she was outside, she had shown up, her security had done a walkthrough and she just decided not to come in.

"We looked at their contracts, the wire transfer, we had seen everything; that`s why we went through with the show."

Cislo added: "As soon as everyone found out she wasn`t showing up on Twitter they were messaging us, text message, emails, you know why are you putting on a fake show? Just gives us a bad rep."

Minaj recently unveiled the carnival-themed music video for her latest track 'Pound The Alarm'. Watch the clip below:
