Tiesto, Skrillex, David Guetta, Pauly D make Forbes DJ rich list

Tiesto has been named the world's highest paid DJ.

The Dutch trance producer earned $22 million (£14 million) in the past year, averaging a nightly gross of $250,000, according to Forbes' Electronic Cash Kings list.

The magazine has compiled a list of the top ten highest paid stars of electronic dance music, including the likes of Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta.

Jersey Shore star Pauly D is at number seven on the list, earning almost half of his income from DJ gigs.

He was named resident DJ at a popular Atlantic City resort earlier this year and is said to earn around $100,000 an episode for his work on the MTV reality show. He recently filmed spinoff Pauly D Project.

Avicii, who had a worldwide hit with 'Levels', rounds off the list with earnings of $7 million (£4.5 million) in the past year,
