Little Mix have been compared to Destiny's Child by US producer Jim Beanz.

The X Factor champions have been working with Beanz on their debut album and the musician has described the four-piece as having the "same energy" as the 'Independent Women' trio.

"They remind me of Destiny's Child when they first came out," Beanz told the Daily Star On Sunday. "They have the same energy and individual styles.

"They told me they were looking for uptempo, dancey clubbing records," he added. "I got the girls in the booths, we had a great session and got two great tracks.

"They were going for a very strong, independent, girl power-type album."

Beanz has previously worked with Cheryl Cole, Gwen Stefani, Shakira, Britney Spears and Rihanna.

Little Mix recently admitted that they are flattered when compared to artists like Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera.

The group's new single 'Wings' will be released in the UK on August 26.
