'Song 2' voted best ever Blur single: Top ten in video

'Song 2' has been voted Blur's best ever single.

The track from the band's self-titled 1997 album came top of the Digital Spy poll to find the group's best ever A-side with 14.2% of the vote.

In second place was 13's lead single 'Tender', followed by 'The Universal' from The Great Escape.

Parklife's 'Girls & Boys' came fourth while the Graham Coxon-fronted 'Coffee & TV' rounded out the top five.

The full top ten was as follows:

1. 'Song 2' - 14.2%



2. 'Tender' - 10.0%



3. 'The Universal' - 9.6%



4. 'Girls & Boys' - 8.8%



5. 'Coffee & TV' - 7.7.%



6. 'For Tomorrow' - 7.3%



7. 'Beetlebum' - 6.5%



= 8 'To the End' 6.2%



= 8 'Parklife' 6.2%



10. Country House - 5.0%



Blur last week played an intimate show at London's Maida Vale studios for BBC 6 Music and Radio 2.

The band headline a show at Hyde Park on August 12 to mark the end of the London 2012 Olympic games.

Blur last month released the double A-side single 'Under the Westway' and 'The Puritan' and last week unveiled the career-spanning 21 box-set.
