The surviving members of the pop band will play 12 dates during their first tour for 15 years.
Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork will kick off the jaunt at Escondido's California Centre for the Arts on November 8.
It will take in a further 10 dates before finishing at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on December 2.
The tour will mark the first time the band have played together since the death of Davy Jones in February.
"This seems like a good time to do this - the right time," said Nesmith. "Who knows when we will get another chance?"
The Monkees will perform a collection of their best-known hits, along with album tracks and songs from their film Head and their TV show.
There will also be a multimedia show with rare films and photos, in which Jones will receive a tribute.
Peter Tork said that the band were already planning a tour before Jones passed.
