Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell has revealed that he is "in love with making music again".

The singer explained that new members Freddie Stitz and Gus Robertson have breathed new life into the indie rock band.

Borrell, the group's only remaining original member, said that he is happy with their "very, very nearly finished" new record.

"There's a whole new energy in it because we've got the new guys," he told NME magazine.

He said of the likelihood of a hit fourth LP: "Our first record was the garage rock 'n' roll record, the second record was the pop record, the third was the difficult break-up record and I thought if I could get the energy of the first one and some of the irresistibility of the second one, that's what we're going for."

Of his new-found desire, the star added: "My philosophy at the moment is I will play anywhere at any point for whatever. I'm like, 'We're f***ing musicians, let's just f***ing play'."
