Guitarist Serge Pizzorno admitted that he thinks Danny Boyle made a mistake by not asking the band to perform at the Opening Ceremony.
Kasabian's track 'Fire' was played at venues throughout the Games, serving as the soundtrack for goals at the hockey, handball and basketball.
"Danny, what were you thinking? We've got a song called 'Fire' and there's a massive cauldron being set alight - it would have been perfect," Pizzorno told Xfm.
"I've enjoyed every second of the Olympics though, even the archery.
"It's great to see my nieces and nephews talking about actual inspirational people on TV rather than the usual Saturday night talent show nonsense."
Kasabian's Tom Meighan recently revealed that he suffered a "meltdown" while on tour earlier this year.
