Exclusive: Melanie C on Spice Girls reunion: 'I'd do it again'

By
Melanie C has revealed that she would not rule out the Spice Girls reforming again in the future.

The singer, who joined her bandmates for a one-off performance at the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday (August 12), admitted that she wouldn't be against a future reunion.

Speaking ahead of the show to Digital Spy, she said: "I never ever thought we'd get back together, but we did in 2007/2008. I'm really glad we did because it was brilliant and I really enjoyed it.

"There's absolutely nothing to say we wouldn't do it again at some point in the future."

Discussing her bandmate Geri Halliwell, who will appear as a guest judge on an upcoming episode of The X Factor, she said: "Geri really enjoyed it. She was a bit embarrassed because she got carried away with herself and jumped on top of a car.

"But I just thought, 'That's just pure Geri!' Thank God she does that, it's what makes her who she is. I wouldn't have her do it any other way."

Melanie C is preparing to release her sixth studio album Stages - a collection of songs inspired by her stint in the theatre - on September 10.
