JLS will undergo a "rebirth" for their fourth studio album.

The group have been working with US hit-maker Jim Beanz on the collection, which will highlight the act's "growth" as artists since their X Factor beginnings.

"We ended up doing four songs, when they were only looking for one more track to go on the album," Beanz told Digital Spy of his recording session with JLS.

"We came out with two strong records, so now we're waiting to see which one or if both will possibly make the record."

He added: "They're both uptempo and club-friendly and everyone's been saying they show JLS's growth since their last album.

"I wanted to give them something that their fanbase will still like, but also show the rebirth of JLS."

JLS's new album is expected to be released later this year and will serve as the follow-up to 2011's Jukebox.
