The song - which is available to download from September 3 - serves as the lead track from his debut album Play It By Heart, which is out on August 27.
'Long May They Roll' is currently at number two on the BBC 1Xtra RNB chart, behind Angel's 'Wonderful' and above Usher's 'Lemme See'.
The track's official music video is expected to premiere next week.
Picton recently unveiled three official remixes of 'Long May They Role' by Malay, RackNRuin and Eyes.
The singer is due to perform at London's Water Rats this evening. Tickets, which are priced at £6, are on sale now.
