Clement Marfo self-releases debut album after fallout with label

By
Clement Marfo has released half of his album online for free after falling out with his record label.

The Clement Marfo & The Frontline frontman posted a link to the tracks on his official Twitter page after he claimed his record label Warner repeatedly pushed back the release.

He said: "It's been a roller coaster of a year and as you may know I am all about the music!

"Up to 60 songs [have been] written for this debut album since 2009 and yet my record label are stalling with a release date. I am a strong believer in making my yes my yes and my no my no!"

He continued: "It's called a decision instead of sitting on the fence; and with this I have made my own decision! My fans want to hear songs from the album and so they will!"

Clement Marfo & The Frontline scored a top 40 hit last month with 'Champion', which was used extensively in the BBC's coverage of the Olympics.
