The Rolling Stones' 'A Bigger Bang' tour has been named as the top grossing music tour ever by Billboard magazine.
Since August 2005 the band have reportedly grossed £226 million, playing 110 concerts in front of 3.5 million fans.
Their success comes in spite of the tour being hindered by a number of unforeseen circumstances, including Mick Jagger's throat problems and guitarist Keith Richard's head injury.
Irish rock band U2 previously held the record for their 'Vertigo' tour that grossed £195 million.
