Idlewild have ended their record deal with EMI/Parlophone.
The band claims it was "time to move on", having spent eight years with the company. The move comes soon after lead singer Roddy Woomble announced he had got married, signifying major change within the group dynamic.
Meanwhile the band has confirmed that their next album, Make Another World, will be out next February. It will be preceded by the single 'If It Takes You Home', due out on December 4.
