"The time was so right for us because we fulfilled things we wanted to do on our own, came back together... it felt like the right time in our lives, as well," Nick explained.

The Jonas Brothers also confirmed they are working on their fifth studio album and will preview new tracks at the October concert.

"It's not a final show - it's the first of many to come," Nick vowed.

The siblings have all pursued solo projects since taking a group hiatus. Nick starred on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, while Joe is to judge the new CW talent competition The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep.

Kevin and his wife Danielle appear on the E! reality show Married to Jonas.

The Jonas Brothers' last release Lines, Vines and Trying Times topped the US album chart in 2009.
