The 'Want U Back' singer said that she enjoys being an unconventional pop star and feels that she attracts fans who have the same eccentric attitude.
"I could not categorise myself at all. I stick out like a sore thumb, I have since school. I'm like the weirdo at school that everybody stares at and is like, 'What is she wearing, what is she doing?' That's me, strange," Lloyd explained to MTV News.
"I always like to tell my fans it's better to stick out than blend in. I feel like my fans are like that, they like to stick out, they like to cause a scene and I love that, don't blend in, try and stand out."
The former X Factor UK star has been launching her career in the US in recent months, and even performed 'Want U Back' on America's Got Talent in July.
Lloyd was recently forced to flee the stage during a performance at V Festival in Chelmsford after an audience member threw a bottle of urine at her.
