Fred Durst has denied reports that Limp Bizkit have split up.

The frontman of the rap-metal group was recently quoted as saying that they were "over".

However, he has now insisted the band will be releasing a new single "really soon actually", reports TMZ.

Durst explained that Limp Bizkit have been recording a new album for Cash Money Records, saying: "It's off the hook, man."

Speaking about the new single, he added: "It's gonna knock you out."

The rapper had previously said of the band's recent years together: "Here's the deal - say in 2000, there were 35 million people who connected to this band. Twelve years later, lots of those people have moved on. We were a moment in time and it's over."

Limp Bizkit teamed up with Cash Money's Lil Wayne for a single titled 'Ready To Go' earlier this year.
