Kasabian played Reading for the first time in seven years yesterday (August 25).
The Leicester band were the evening's headline act and performed covers of Fatboy Slim's 'Praise You', The Korgis' 'Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime' and The Beatles' 'She Loves You' on the festival's main stage.
The five piece opened their 18-song set with their most recent single 'Days Are Forgotten', before playing hits including 'Club Foot', 'LSF', 'Shoot The Runner' and closing number 'Fire', which transitioned into the classic Beatles track.
Singer Tom Meighan dedicated a song to his daughter Mimi and thanked the audience for putting up with the sodden conditions.
"I want to tell you something," said Meighan, addressing the crowd. "We started a band when I was 17. I'm an old man now, 31, but thanks to you, here we are.
"This was my ambition, Reading. Thank you so much."
