Two Door Cinema Club played a surprise set earlier today at Reading Festival (August 26).
The band performed a short acoustic gig on the BBC Introducing Stage this afternoon.
The set occurred ahead of their main gig on the NME/Radio 1 Stage later this evening before headliners Justice.
The trio's appearance remained a secret right until the last minute, with the identity of the special gig even being unknown to the stewards.
Three songs were played during their short set, including an acoustic version of their new single 'Sleep Alone'.
"It was quite strange to be referred to as 'secret 'special guests', because we've never really thought of ourselves as special before," guitarist Sam Halliday told NME.
Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chiefs are also among the artists who are due to perform at Reading this evening.
Two Door Cinema Club will release their latest album Beacon on September 3.
They will embark on a UK headline tour in early 2013.
