Cher Lloyd's debut single in the US has been certified platinum.
The singer's first American release 'Want U Back' has sold over a million copies stateside and she was awarded with a placard to mark the milestone while performing on popular TV programme The Today Show.
Lloyd performed two songs - 'Want U Back' and 'With Ur Love' - for the hordes of US fans who descended upon New York's Rockefeller Plaza to watch her.
During an interview before the performance, Lloyd revealed that she is always surprised by the amount of American fans that come to see her perform as she is from the UK.
'Want U Back' has peaked at number 12 on the US Hot 100 so far, with a version featuring Snoop Dogg yet to be formally released.
