The singer has shifted nearly 660,000 copies of Our Version of Events since its release in February this year, Music Week reports.
The figure just edges past sales of Adele's 2011 LP, which has sold 657,000 units in 2012 and 4.4 million overall.
Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey's Born to Die is currently listed as the year's third top-selling record, followed by Ed Sheeran's + at four and Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto at five.
However, 2012's top-selling record overall is Now That's What I Call Music! 81, which has so far tallied over 700,000 sales.
Sandé's album, which spent a fifth non-consecutive week at number one last Sunday (August 26), currently sits at number three in the latest midweek charts.
The star recently confirmed details for a repackaged version of her debut, which will include new songs 'Breaking the Law' and 'Easier in Bed'.
